A Message from Regatta Chairs Bill Crum and Rob Ladan :

In total, there were 33 boats registered for the United Way Charity Regatta in 2009 and the 104 skippers and crew brought in pledge sheets containing donations from $5 to $500. There were 160 individual pledges, which average out to over 5.5 pledges per boat.

Start early, leave the pledges sheets on display, ask your crew to help out. Thank you to all the skippers/crews and donors for their efforts last year. In total the boats pledged $14,071, which was matched by corporate co-sponsors, and the RBC Investment Foundation.

A total of over $30,000 was raised from all sponsors and shared among the United Way agencies in the Okanagan Valley.
