United Way Message

Dear Vernon Yacht Club Members:

United Way of North Okanagan Columbia Shuswap would like to extend our great appreciation for the tremendous support your club has shown for the Okanagan Charity Sailing Regatta since its inception.

From the vision that brought the regatta into being, to the volunteers your club provides, to the warm welcome you provide to fellow sailors from up and down the valley, these, along with the incredible partnerships and sponsorships all come together to make for a wonderful, and hugely successful event. It just gets better and better each year!

The Okanagan Charity Sailing Regatta seems to have hit on a format that provides fun, fellowship, friendly competition and provides a great weekend of racing for participants and the viewing public. This is truly a first-class event that would not be possible without the hard working volunteers at the Vernon Yacht Club and the partnerships that have been developed over the years.

We sincerely thank the members of the Vernon Yacht Club for organising, volunteering, hosting, sponsoring and crewing to make this Regatta happen. This partnership has helped United Ways in this valley to make a difference in our communities – because we live here!

We look forward to this year’s Okanagan Charity Sailing Regatta and to the opportunity to work together to continue this flourishing event in the future.
